Forget the city - go jungle

I purchased my Citadel Modular for taking away to Vanuatu where I do a heap of filming for a museum project underway over there. Apart from the brilliant design and exceptional manufacturing of the pack, its ability to be reconfigured on the fly is a must for me. Travel docs, passports and all that stuff you want on the plane can be kept in the pouches clipped to the exterior. When onboard, the pack goes up in the overhead luggage compartment and the smaller pouches are unclipped and put in the seat pocket. Then once I've arrived, the pouches are great for storing extra drone batteries, SD cards and all that stuff you want quickly without having to unzip the main part of the pack. Which brings me to the next big plus with my Modular. When it rains in Vanuatu, it buckets down - torrential tropical stuff. So you need a pack that is watertight under fairly extreme conditions particularly in the jungle when we're out filming old WWII wrecks and missing aircraft. And the Modular has not let me down once. So if you're not afraid to get your bag a little dinged up and muddy (which isn't a problem as you just hose it down), it makes for an awesome pack when exploring the great outdoors.

Amazing Carry!

I got the Citadel Modular with a few of the modules, and it's been an amazing pack. So comfortable to carry (the shape of the back fits perfectly to the body, and the padding is perfect). The pack is very well organized, stylish, and holds a lot. It would be nice for the internal pockets to expand more, so they would be more flexible for use. This is the bag I settled on after months of searching and testing, and I couldn't be happier. Hard to go wrong with this thing, especially with the near-total waterproofing.

Great for the city, better for the rest of the world.

I purchased my Citadel Modular for traveling to Bangkok where I do a lot of filming for a project. Apart from the brilliant design and exceptional manufacturing of the pack, it was the ability to customize on the fly that sold me. Travel docs, passports and all that stuff you want on the plane can be kept in the pouches clipped to the exterior. When on board, the pack goes up in the overhead luggage compartment and the smaller pouches are unclipped and put in the seat pocket. Then once I've arrived, the pouches are great for storing extra drone batteries, SD cards and all that stuff you want quickly without having to unzip the main part of the pack. Which brings me to the next big plus with my Modular. When it rains in Bangkok, I was right in the middle of it. So you need a pack that is watertight under fairly extreme conditions when we're out filming. And the Modular has not let me down once. So if you're not afraid to get your bag a little dinged up and muddy (which isn't a problem as you just hose it down), it makes for an awesome pack when exploring the great outdoors.
